Dr. Sara Parkinson has been appointed to the position of Assistant Conductor of the Jefferson Symphony Orchestra and will be featured in our February 2, 2024 concert.

2025 Young Artist Competition Finals
Saturday, January 11


Wellshire Presbyterian Church
2999 South Colorado Blvd. Denver

Seven talented young musicians from various U.S. music schools will compete for the chance to perform with Jefferson Symphony in concert on March 30, 2025.

​

The 2025 competition features stringed instruments including harp, classical guitar, cello and violins.

The top three winners will receive cash prizes and perform their concertos in recital that evening.

Competition Schedule for Saturday, January 11, 2025

Finalists perform from 10am-3 pm

Winners Announced at 3:30 pm

First, second and third place winners will perform at 7pm Saturday evening at the same location.​

The live competition is free and open to the public.

​

The winners' recital is free for Season Subscribers and youth 17 and under. Tickets are $15 at the door for all others.

Jefferson Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1953, is a seventy--five member ensemble based in Golden, Colorado. Featuring fine musicians from many walks of life, the orchestra presents its 71st Season of symphonic performances for Front Range audiences. We are proud to unite our audiences through their shared love for the arts.
